We’re evolving our pop-punk and emo nights into My Istanbul Romance, a new fan night at Yabangee Base dedicated to the music, nostalgia, and community around the scene. Expect a fan meet-up, quiz with prizes, our Mixtape Exchange, and DJ performances carrying us through the rest of the night.
Expect music from My Chemical Romance, Yellowcard, Paramore, Panic! at the Disco, Green Day, Blink-182, Brand New, Bring Me the Horizon, Sum 41, The All-American Rejects, Avril Lavigne, AFI, Pierce the Veil, Jimmy Eat World, Fall Out Boy, Taking Back Sunday, Neck Deep, The Story So Far, Movements, Hot Mulligan and plenty more.
Doors open at 20:00, with the first part of the evening dedicated to hanging out and meeting fellow fans. We’ll have some optional icebreaker activities around the space for anyone who wants a little help getting conversations started, whether you’ve come with friends or you’re showing up solo. We’ll also have our Mixtape Exchange running throughout: we provide everything you need, you design your mixtape, fill in your playlist, and exchange it for one made by somebody else.
At 21:00, we’ll kick off our Emo & Pop-Punk Quiz, hosted by Türkü, covering the songs, bands, albums, lyrics, videos, and memorable moments from across the scene. As always, the quiz is designed to be fun rather than overly challenging, so you don’t need to know every B-side from 2004 to take part. Come with a team or join in solo. Prizes for the top three!
From 22:00, the DJs take over. We’re welcoming a new DJ into the mix alongside familiar faces, with benur, ivalice & friends playing emo and pop-punk favorites, deeper cuts, requests, and some adjacent sounds throughout the night.

Saat 21.00’de, Türkü’nün sunumuyla Emo & Pop-Punk Quiz’imize başlıyoruz! Quiz’de sahnenin dört bir yanından şarkılar, gruplar, albümler, şarkı sözleri, klipler ve unutulmaz anlar yer alacak. Her zamanki gibi, quiz aşırı zorlayıcı olmaktan ziyade eğlenceli olacak şekilde hazırlandı; yani katılmak için 2004’ten kalma her albümün B yüzündeki parçaları bilmenize gerek yok. Ekibinizle gelin ya da tek başınıza katılın. İlk üçe ödül var!
22:00’den itibaren kontrol DJ’lere geçiyor. Tanıdık isimlerin yanına yeni bir DJ’i de eklediğimiz bu gecede benur, ivalice & friends; emo ve pop-punk favorilerinden daha derin seçkilere, istek parçalardan yakın türlere uzanan bir setle gece boyunca bizimle olacak.

This event is open to participants aged 18 and over.
Entry is at the discretion of the venue. The door staff’s decision is final.
No outside food or drinks, sharp objects, or flammable items are permitted inside the event area.
By attending, participants consent to being photographed and filmed during the event.
Professional video or photography equipment is not permitted without prior written consent from the organizers.
